Home Wi-Fi has become the lifeline for many people, and for many people their home Wi-Fi and Internet connection are struggling to cope with the strain of multiple people online at the same time. Teach, learn, work, connect — so many of our daily interactions with other people and our livelihood depend on our home Wi-Fi being reliable.

My desire to make a difference in the world has always been a part of the MetaGeek DNA, and that desire has been growing since the lockdowns began in March. I can no longer just be the product manager of the company I founded… I need to shift the strategic direction of MetaGeek into a mission-driven company that is helping the world get connected.

My current role as product manager does not allow me to shift the strategic direction of the company, nor does being majority owner of MetaGeek. The CEO is responsible for setting the company’s vision and strategy.

Therefore, I have decided to step back into the CEO role and shift MetaGeek into a mission-driven company that connects everyday people for essential activities.

Rampart Home was created to directly help home users improve their Wi-Fi network, which allows us to directly impact everyday people.

Our Pro Tools business is one step removed from directly helping everyday people connect, because our Pro Tools business empowers Wi-Fi admins and exerts to help people. Yes, some of the Wi-Fi Pros are installing Wi-Fi in places like football stadiums, which aren’t exactly essential connections… but most Wi-Fi Pros are installing and/or maintaining Wi-Fi networks in places that are essential, such as: schools, hospitals, and businesses. Our Wi-Fi tools and Wi-Fi education empower these Wi-Fi experts to improve a lot of Wi-Fi networks for a lot of everyday people, which helps achieve our mission.

MetaGeek is uniquely positioned to make a difference — to make the world better — by improving reliability of essential Wi-Fi for the world.
