In 2017, MetaGeek released inSSIDer Technician, which was designed to help Internet Service Provider (ISP) technicians verify Wi-Fi installations. While inSSIDer Technician was innovative, and some customers enjoyed the clean workflow of the accompanying Android app, the product did not find a sustainable amount of users.

As a result, we have decided to retire inSSIDer Technician. Many of the lessons learned while building the cloud infrastructure for inSSIDer Technician have already been migrated into the MetaGeek Plus offering, and the workflow of Rampart Home is fairly similar to the workflow of inSSIDer Technician.
